Charity Goal Achieved!

My Triathlon this weekend is my first official race that I have signed up to run on behalf of a national charity organization.  Specifically that is the Organization For Autism Research (OAR). All year long I have been running races either wearing my OAR T-Shirt or my OAR Running Top to spread the word. However this triathlon will be the first race that officially is dedicated to the cause.

This cause is near and dear to myself and my family so it only felt right to partner together with them. Also if I am going to put myself through months of grueling training it made sense to do so while raising awareness around it.

And I am happy to say today I exceeded my goal!

I set out with a target goal of $800 and this morning I went over that number. I am very thankful for my family and friends for their love and support. Every single person who has supported me in this cause is someone who I hold in a special place. The fact that they would take time and their hard earned money to help me towards this cause is something I consider humbling. It is refreshing to know that I am surrounded by a support system that is so generous.

Now, to show them they did not waste their money, I will go out there and beat the living hell out of myself.

Thank you to everyone who helped me achieve my goal!!

I’ll Kick My Own Ass to Support The Cure for Autism

So I have officially signed up for the TriRock Series Philadelphia Triathlon. The event will be held in June of this year and will be my first Triathlon ever.

I have teamed up with the Organization for Autism Research to help donate and find a cure.

This is a cause that is close to me and something I am dedicating my Triathlon to. If you feel generous please help by donating to the cure here

No amount is too little. With the help of many we can get that much closer to understanding Autism and a potential cure.

I appreciate all of your support and you can believe me I will be kicking my own ass to make sure your donations do not go to waste.
